5 Things to Consider Before Implementing AI in Your Organisation
5 Things to Consider Before Implementing AI in Your Organisation At Network Fish, we’ve been helping London businesses navigate technology…
For London businesses that have better things to worry about.
You didn't start your business to manage IT problems.
But at some point, computers started demanding your attention. Things break at the wrong moment. You're not sure if your data is properly backed up. Security feels like a gap you keep meaning to close. And the monthly IT bill doesn't quite match the level of support you actually get.
Network Fish has been fixing this for London businesses since 2002.
One monthly fee. One number to call. And the day-to-day risk of running your computers becomes our job, not yours.
We become your IT department. Unlimited helpdesk, on-site engineers anywhere in London, security, backups, and Cyber Essentials, all for a simple monthly fee. No onboarding cost. No surprises.
Most IT support is reactive. Something breaks, you call, you wait. We monitor your systems around the clock and fix most problems before you notice them. If you have a renewal coming up, our free site survey gives you an independent picture of where you stand.
We work alongside them. Holiday and sickness cover, security tooling they can't run solo, vulnerability scanning, penetration testing, and an extra pair of hands when projects come up. Your IT person gets stronger. You sleep better.
Cyber Essentials certified • London-based since 2002 • On-site engineers, anywhere in the city • Windows, Mac and Linux
An engineer visits your office, reviews your setup, security, and backups, and leaves you with a written report. No charge. No obligation. No sales pressure.
Hybrid and remote working isn't a trend any more. It's how London businesses operate. The question isn't whether your team can work remotely. It's whether they can do it safely.
Most IT setups weren't designed with remote work in mind. They were designed for an office. When staff started working from home, laptops left the building without encryption. VPNs were set up hastily or not at all. Files that used to live on a server started living on kitchen table computers. And nobody thought too hard about what happened if one of those laptops went missing on a train.
We fix the gaps.
For every Network Fish client, remote working is treated as a security question first and a convenience question second. That means:
Encrypted devices. Every laptop and PC is protected with full-disk encryption: BitLocker on Windows, FileVault on Mac. If a device is lost or stolen, the data on it is unreadable.
Remote wipe. If a device goes missing, we can wipe it immediately before any data is compromised.
DNS filtering on the road. Our DNS filtering follows your team wherever they are. A member of staff on hotel Wi-Fi in Malta gets the same protection as someone at their desk in London.
Multi-factor authentication. Every account, every system, every user. Enforced, not optional. MFA is the single most effective control against account compromise, and we make sure it's switched on across your business.
Secure remote access. We set up and manage VPN and secure remote desktop access properly, not as an afterthought.
Microsoft 365 support. Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, Exchange: we manage the configuration, security settings, and permissions so your cloud tools work the way they should and your data is protected.
The thing most people don't know. Microsoft 365 does not back up your email, SharePoint, or OneDrive. It keeps your data available. It does not protect it from accidental deletion, a departing employee clearing their account, or ransomware. We put proper third-party backup in place so your cloud data is genuinely protected, not just assumed to be.
Whether your team is in the office, at home, or halfway around the world, the day-to-day risk of keeping your systems safe becomes our job, not yours.
Most London businesses are already paying for collaboration tools. Microsoft 365 or Google Workspace, Teams or Meet, SharePoint or shared drives. The software is good. The problem is rarely the software.
The problem is that nobody configured it properly when it was set up, nobody is managing the security settings, permissions drift as people join and leave, and the assumption that Microsoft is backing it all up is, unfortunately, wrong.
We fix all of that.
Microsoft 365 and Google Workspace administration. We manage your platform properly: accounts, permissions, shared drives, distribution lists, security policies, and licence allocation. When someone joins, their account is set up the right way from day one. When someone leaves, their access is removed immediately and their data is handled correctly.
Teams and SharePoint configuration. Teams is powerful when it is set up well. It is a mess when it is not. We configure your channels, permissions, and storage structure so that files end up where they should, shared with the right people, and not sprawling across individual laptops where they cannot be found or protected.
User onboarding and offboarding. A leaver whose Microsoft 365 account is not properly deprovisioned is a security risk. Shared inboxes left open, SharePoint access not revoked, licence fees still being charged for people who left six months ago. We handle this as a standard part of our service.
Backup for your cloud data. Microsoft does not back up your email, SharePoint, or OneDrive. The native recycle bin gives you 14 to 93 days. After that, deleted data is gone. We put proper third-party backup in place so permanent data loss isn't a risk.
SaaS licence management. Most businesses are overpaying. People leave, licences stay active. We review your allocation and make sure you are paying for what you actually need.
Multi-factor authentication. Every collaboration platform is a target. We enforce MFA across every account and every platform as standard, because a password alone is not enough.
Whether your team uses Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, or both, the day-to-day risk of keeping your collaboration tools secure, backed up, and properly managed becomes our job, not yours.
Cyber security that's already running before anything goes wrong.
Most small businesses treat security reactively. Something goes wrong, they deal with it. The problem with that approach is that by the time you know something has gone wrong, the damage is already done.
We take a different approach. Every Network Fish managed support client gets a full security stack deployed and managed as part of their contract. Not an optional add-on. Not a separate quote. Included.
Antivirus. Managed antivirus deployed to every Windows and Mac device in your business, monitored centrally. Not installed and forgotten. If protection lapses on any device, or an update fails, we know about it and fix it before it becomes a problem.
Advanced threat detection (EDR). Your antivirus catches threats it already recognises. We also run software that watches how every device is behaving, around the clock. If something starts acting suspiciously, the software spots it, contains it, and responds automatically — before anyone needs to pick up the phone.
Web-level threat blocking (DNS Filtering). Before your team's browser even connects to a dangerous website, we block the connection at the network level. Malicious links, fake login pages, malware download sites: stopped before they load, whether your team is in the office, at home, or travelling.
Two-step login, enforced for everyone (MFA). A password on its own is not enough. We make sure every account — email, cloud apps, VPN, and any other business system — requires a second verification step. Even if an attacker has someone's password, they cannot get in without that second step.
Device hardening. Out-of-the-box device settings are not secure. We apply a recognised security baseline to every device: disabling services that do not need to run, restricting who can make changes, enforcing strong login policies, and controlling USB access. This maps directly to the Cyber Essentials technical requirements.
Automatic software updates. Outdated software is the most common way attackers get in. We deploy operating system and application updates automatically, on a tested schedule, across every device. Critical security patches are fast-tracked.
Vulnerability scanning. We run continuous scans of your network and devices to find security weaknesses before an attacker does. When something is found, it is raised as a ticket and resolved. Every quarter we give you a written report of what was found and what was done about it.
Cyber Essentials. Included in your contract: gap analysis, remediation guidance, and support through the certification process. The only additional cost is the certifying body fee, currently around £300. Cyber Essentials Plus and penetration testing are available as additional services.
Attackers do not target businesses because they are interesting. They target them because they are easy. With Network Fish, every device in your business is monitored, protected, updated, and hardened — all day, all night, for one monthly fee. The day-to-day risk of keeping your business secure becomes our job, not yours.
